Cumberland River Trip II
Cumberland River Trip II
3 DAYS – 350 Miles
TBA per person + Fuel (All-Inclusive)
Based on Double Occupancy – Single Occupancy available
On the newest version of our Cumberland River Trip, we will start our adventure near Gainesboro, TN and we’ll travel the Cumberland River as far west as Nashville. The trip covers 350 total miles and offers extraordinary scenery, as we wind through high rock bluffs (some over 200 feet high) and through rural farm lands abundant in hardwoods tucked in around rock and limestone formations.
On Day 1 the group will travel 140 miles on the beautiful Cumberland River. We’ll have lunch along the way and pass through the Cordell Hull Lock enroute to our destination for two nights in the Old Hickory Lake area. In this heavily populated area of the river, we’ve planned our arrival just as the weekend comes to a close in an effort to avoid the busiest time for boat traffic. Who knows….we might even spot a famous Country Music star enjoying some relaxation time in this area. After getting the group docked at the marina, we’ll have a short shuttle for a casual dinner and then a very short drive on to our hotel in Hendersonville.
On the morning of Day 2, the ride will continue west again, navigating through the Old Hickory Lock and making the 35 mile trek into downtown Nashville! We’ll get docked and have lunch near the riverfront before making the return trip back to Hendersonville that afternoon. After a short rest, the group will be shuttled out to dinner at a restaurant close by. The return trip on Day 3 will include sight-seeing (by water) to view a couple of homes owned by Country Music stars that have called this part of the Cumberland River home. The rest of the day will take the group upriver to our start point and again we’ll carve with the river 140 miles through the lush mountain landscape to complete an awesome ride in this beautiful region of upper Tennessee. We are excited to return again to the Cumberland River and we hope you can join us!
